Developed High Gain Microstrip Antenna like Microphone Structure for 5G Application

We present a new antenna structure containing parasitic structure rounded on the circular like microphone structure for 5G application. The proposed antenna was feed by microstrip feeding technique where the radiating element was designed in the form of a microphone technical drawing structure. The antenna was designed using single substrate with double layer copper(top and bottom) with radiating patch on the top layer and full ground on the bottom same substrate. The antenna was simulated and optimized at 18 GHz using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) with permittivity, er = 2.2 and thickness, h = 1.57mm on Roger RT-Duroid 5880 substrate. The antennas are reasonably well matched at their corresponding frequency of operations. The simulation and measurement results have shown that the antenna works well. The simulation results have shown that the three antenna works well with the selected frequency. The final simulated antenna Design3 giving 9.18dB gain, -66.48dB return loss, 1307MHz bandwidth, efficiency of 91.9% and lower VSWR. All three design antenna was measured using Vector network analyzer (VNA) and Anechoic chamber.
